Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Catriona Keye

Catriona graduated as a registered general nurse in 1996 spending her time in the hospital setting between ortho and A&E. Catriona joined general practice in 2003 having completed a Diploma in Practice Nursing and H Dip in Tissue Viability in the early noughties. She graduated with distinction in Nurse Prescribing 2012 and went on to complete both a Diploma and membership exams in Travel Medicine.

As a generalist Catriona looks after a wide variety of general practice presentations, including minor illnesses, asthma, hypertension, women’s health, sexual health, travel health and diabetes. Catriona has a special interest in menopause and set up a menopause clinic in 2020 having completed courses with the International Menopause Society, British Menopause Society and Dr Louise Newson. A study on this clinic was accepted at the international conference of Nurse Practitioners earlier this year. Catriona received first class honours in her MSc in Advance Practice in 2022. She has most recently competed a post grad in general practice diabetes and the obesity academy course to grow the ANP role in chronic disease management.
